In the first book, Trixie’s father mistakenly puts her Knuffle Bunny in the washing machine and on the way home, when she realizes what’s happened, her father doesn’t understand her baby gibberish. The plot in a nutshell: A girl grows up with her stuffed bunny After 3 years, I still can’t read the end of the last book without choking up – my son has learned that he has to jump in and finish it for me. You get to grow up with Trixie over the course of the series. What do you like about it? This is as much fun to read as any Mo Willems book this side of Elephant and Piggie, but there’s also a really sweet side to it. How did you discover this book? My wife introduced me to it when she was pregnant.

We’re big children’s book fans in this house – other than the automatic car wash, my son’s ideal afternoon outing is to the library. Who is Chris? I’m a professional math nerd and father of a 3 year-old.

Not so long ago, before she could even speak words, Trixie went on an errand with her daddy… Written and Illustrated by Mo Willems Hyperion Books for Children, 2004, 20 Awards: Caldecott Honor (20)
